I got a new Kindle for Christmas and decided to treat myself to some months of Kindle Unlimited. I wasn’t sure how many of these titles I would actually want to read, but I figured it couldn’t hurt to try. Here are the three I am going to start out with this month.
American Dirt
By: Jeanine Cummins
Seems like low hanging fruit to go with an Oprah’s Book Club pick. But this one has also been recommended to me personally by several people. Forced to flee Acapulco and it’s drug cartels, Lydia and her family are anxious to make it in to the United States with crowds of others. It is lauded as fast moving, while at the same time very emotional. This one is next up for me.
The Echo of Old Books
By: Barbara Davis
Mysterious books just showing up in a used bookstore? Yes, please! This one has been on my TBR for a while, so when it appeared on Unlimited, I jumped at the chance to add it to my library.
The Housemaid’s Secret
By: Freida McFadden
This is my book club’s selection for March, so I was really worried when I saw the wait list at my local library. Then I saw it was on Kindle Unlimited, so I scooped it up. I had never read the first book in the series, so I just finished that one and was really surprised. I hadn’t read anything about the series and suspense is not usually my thing, it makes me too nervous, but I really enjoyed it and raced right through it. I am looking forward to the second in the series.
